Dear GSCS Family,
I hope everyone is in good health and spirit!
When I was in high school, long time ago, one of my teachers said, that each of our lives is basically a story written by God; each unique in its own way. This past year, I believe that somehow all of our stories came together in one LONG chapter. Some of us endured more stress, pain, sadness, and frustration than others, but at the end of the chapter, we all had one thing in common, perseverance. This situation we found ourselves sharing, was not going to stop our GSCS community from trying to do our very best. Our faculty and staff, our students, and you the GSCS families, prevailed and succeeded. We accomplished so much more than we had anticipated. Thank you all for your support, warmth, and appreciation; it’s what kept us going.
I hope your summer is safe and restful. Children need a variety of experiences and conversations from the adults in their lives to grow and flourish. Go to the park, the beach, or just a walk around the neighborhood. Talk, pray, and read together. Just ENJOY!
I will see you back here at GSCS on Wednesday, August 18th, for the first day of school 2021-2022!
Serving children and Christ,
